Register Now For The NHSScotland Event 2015
14th April 2015
Registration is now live for the NHSScotland Event 2015, which is being held on 23 and 24 June at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), Glasgow. The theme of the 2015 event is ‘Leading Integration for Quality’.
This year’s Event will be an exceptional platform for some of the most exciting quality improvement techniques and innovative approaches in modern healthcare – highlighting some of the most powerful examples of how quality is being taken forward in the newly emerging integration landscape, with a focus, not just on health and social care integration, but on integration across the healthcare system itself.
Now in its tenth year, the NHSScotland Event is firmly positioned in Scotland’s calendar as a key networking and educational event for those who work in and with the NHS in Scotland.
The Event programme has been designed around the 2020 Vision for Health and Social Care. Our Vision is that by the year 2020 everyone is able to live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting. The key elements of the Event will include four keynote plenary sessions and a number of topical parallel sessions, which will draw on the very real examples of excellent practice across NHSScotland and its partners. The parallel and lunchtime sessions will include something for everyone with a wide range of topics in support of the 2020 Vision.
Shona Robison MSP will be giving her first speech to the NHSScotland Event as Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport and we are delighted to announce that this year’s closing plenary session keynote speaker will be John Swinney MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Constitution and the Economy.
Over 60 exhibitors will be showcasing their services and products in the Exhibition hall to help inform and support your work and add real value to your time. In addition, there will be a number of special features including the NHSScotland Zone featuring the Mobile Skills Unit, the return of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and, for the first time, a new Integrated Health and Social care Exhibition hub giving delegates the chance to engage with those at the cutting edge of planning integrated services.
Delegates attending the event will also have the chance to experience the popular Poster Exhibition which forms an integral part of sharing best practice and learning at the Event. Over 200 posters will be on display at the event representing the very best examples of quality improvement in each of the poster categories. You can vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Poster Award. A poster reception and facilitated poster walk will take place after the event on day one and the poster winners will be announced during the closing plenary on day two. This year there will be a special integration award selected from the posters on display.
